API Filmmakers from the diaspora (outside the Philippines) seeking distribution in the Philippines are encouraged to approach Cinema Independent (CI) to assess theatrical release potential.  CI secures Philippine distribution for a film, in partnership with TBA Studios, which could include theatrical exhibition at TBA’s discretion.  

Cinema Independent acquires commercial, independent films for Philippine distribution by TBA Studios with cinematic exhibition. Exclusive releases in theaters from TBA Studios have included Oscarᴿ winners, Everything Everywhere All At Once, The Whale, and Oscarᴿ contender Triangle of Sadness.  Also included are Japan’s, Malaysia’s and Singapore’s official entries to the Academy Awardsᴿ, namely, Plan 75, Roh, and Ajoomma.
